Kona Police Partner with Walmart and Salvation Army for Holiday Toy Drive

The Hawai‘i County Police Department’s Kona Community Policing Section is partnering with Kona Walmart and The Salvation Army for the first annual “Fill a Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive”.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kona Walmart parking lot.

Community members are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys to help children in need. A marked police SUV will serve as the collection point. All collected toys will be given to The Salvation Army for distribution to families across West Hawai‘i.

Last year, The Salvation Army provided gifts for nearly 1,000 children and seniors, and this partnership aims to expand that effort.

For more details, contact the Kona Community Policing Section at (808) 326-4646, ext. 258.
