Bill Hanson of Hawaii County Civil Defense coordinates the Community Emergency Response Teams, and other volunteer response groups. Suzi Bond has been working on the VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters ) and the Hawaii County Citizens Corps Council. Island Conversations host Sherry Bracken gets an update on how these groups work to help in case of disasters (tsunami, hurricane, lava flow..etc.)
