Island Conversations #34–Keahuolu Courthouse Kona Judiciary, with Chief Justice Mark Rechtenwald

Kona’s brand new Keauolu Courthouse Judiciary Complex was formally opened and blessed on Tuesday, October 1, 2019.  Chief Justice Mark Rechtenwald sat down with Island Conversations host Sherry Bracken to talk about the courthouse, and other matters such as the rule of law–including how much retired Chief Judge Ronald Ibarra is still doing for the Judiciary.  Judge Ibarra was honored at the blessing by having the Self Help Center named in his honor, in appreciation for his tireless work on helping make the courthouse a reality.   To see Judge Ibarra’s super interesting talk about the history of Kona court
