Island Conversations #37–Recyling: big changes

As of October 16, 2019, Hawaii County will only recycle cardboard, brown paper bags, and glass.  At some “select” transfer stations, they say they’ll recycle cans, but not necessarily in the same location as the other recyclables.   Bill Kucharski, head of County Department of Environmental Management, and Solid Waste Division Chief Greg Goodale, explain in their discussion with host Sherry Bracken.
